Anchorage, AK is surrounded by endless peaks and valleys. In winter, I spend a lot of time painting and sketching from my car. Arctic Valley Rd. leads to an abundance of hiking and ski trails that wind through and around Arctic Valley.

While my husband skis, I paint! Winter 2022 had an enormous amount of snow, covering all the peaks in a thick, white coat. Soft light mixed with shifting clouds offers beautiful, soft colors. So soft that the slopes almost melted into each other and the sky.
