This painting started on top of Harp Mountain last December, on a sunny but bitterly cold and steep hike. Thankfully, no wind.

What I managed to complete up on the summit didn’t satisfy my interest, so I played with it in the comfort of my little bedroom studio. I figured, what could I lose by trying?

Happy endings do happen! The finished piece is a bit of a stretch from my usual painting style thus, opens my eyes and curiosity to new possibilities. That’s a win-win in my book.
