Spring Meadow was an experimental practice piece done when I was just beginning to learn the complexity and freedom of watercolor painting. Practice pieces are just that, meant only for practicing one or more techniques. A practice piece can also help guide one’s style. I found this work to do exactly that for me. It is among some early works I produced which began establishing a style that excited me!
