Watercolor 10x11” Framed

A favorite place of mine is the Parker River Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island, MA. Not only is it one of the best places in the country for birding, but it is also a fabulous place to paint and sketch on location. The landscape is so inspirational. The colors change with every season, just as the bird species and diversity does. This work is one of my most successful in achieving all that I set out to achieve in a single painting. When I look at this one I can almost feel the warmth of the day, the light breeze and the salt in the air, and hear the cacophony of bird songs and calls.
