Watercolor 14x11” Framed

Green Forest is an early work developed from a lesson I had when studying watercolor painting with a New England master watercolorist. The lesson was super fun, and the work I produced in that lesson sold quickly. As an instructor of drawing, nature journaling and watercolor painting I always emphasize process over product. The process experienced in that early lesson was so much fun that I went on to produce more like it. It’s an exploration in color, technique and values, painting from light to dark and using strictly one’s imagination to create the work by letting the alchemy of pigment, water and paper dictate next steps in the process.
