On a recent visit home this autumn, I made sure to get myself into the mountains I am so familiar with, the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

As always, my field sketching kit came along with me. An extraordinary day to be on a mountain trail! Lots of sunshine, warm temperatures, a slight breeze, spending time with my daughter, time spent in my watercolor journal, and colors that were on fire! Nothing could have made my soul happier in that moment.
