What a cool way to enjoy my art!

In July 2022 I visited Katmai National Park in Alaska to observe and sketch coastal brown bears, the largest grizzlies of all. 

Under the watchful eye of our guides, I was able to capture shapes and postures from life, right in the bear’s habitat. According to our guide, this bear is known as Lippy, a 900lb alpha male.

While I had to leave this sleepy bear out on the tundra, you can take him everywhere you go!
