Another winter painting done en plein air from my car. This particular day offered warm sunshine! I could paint from the back of my car with the hatch open, rather than the driver’s seat. It was splendid!

There was still a lot of snow right through Spring. The sun was high and bright, offering strong shadows to play with. Lots of willows, black cottonwood, and spruce dot the slopes.
