One “hill” I’ve summited several times, day and night, is Near Point, elev 3050’.

Steep but not long, the trail leads to a round summit with amazing views east into the back range of the Chugach Mountains and west to Cook Inlet and mountain ranges on the other side.

This piece, looking deep into the Chugach range, was done pretty darn quick, with just two colors, as it was another very cold day on a peak. No drawing in this one, only brush, water, pigment, and paper.
