While researching organizations or individuals that seem a potential fit for collaboration, I came across a post on “nature connectedness”; the connection humans have, or do not, with nature.
I am going to defer my blog post this month to that of a researcher, Prof. Miles Richardson, founder of the Nature Connectedness Research Group at the University of Derby in the U.K. His most recent post is a walk through his mind as he forms ideas on ways to attract an interest in nature from the general human population. From landscape design to a an Augmented Reality window to a nature magazine with a novel spin, Prof. Richardson is rethinking ways to solve the problem of nature deficiency. His thought process reminds me of the phrase, “meet them where they are”.
Give it a go. Read his quick article on Nature Connection Design Ideas. Impractical, or even daft… I don’t think so. Unexpected… most definitely!
As he said, “sharing and discussing ideas is often the catalyst for others”.
