I have had the amazing pleasure of watching all four of these species in their natural habitats: Barred Owl, Great-horned Owl, Snowy Owl and Eastern Screech Owl. There’s something distinctly magical about owls. Seeing one in the wild is a very lucky experience. You can walk right under one and never know it was watching YOU! Hearing one is more likely, and even that can stop you in your tracks.
